Hello there,      I graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2005, and after having done F1 and F2 in Scotland, I moved to Northern Ireland. I think I'm one of those hard done by MTAS-badness. My fiancee who I met in Aberdeen, got a job in Northern Ireland for Foundation (when I was in Scotland). And then ironically, she got a job (her only offer) in Scotland for GP training. And I was offered (my only offer) an FTSTA 1 in N Ireland starting at the Ulster for 6 months. We swaped countries.       Despite this I have faith in UK postgraduate medical training. True, it has been meddled with. I believe that medical training should be taken away from government control - it is not a business or a company. Autonomy and common sense should return,       I plan to specialise in General Medicine, and I will continue to fight for fair treatment. Anything I can do to help my colleagues, I will help. I want to introduce reform into our medical training, not just for this generation but for those who will be replacing us.
