The Remedy AGM: An Update PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 21 April 2008
The First Annual RemedyUK AGM was held last Saturday at the RemedyUK Headquarters.

Thanks to all those who attended.

The morning saw a summary of the organisation to date, with an update of our last 6 months. While things have been publicly a little quieter than our first 6 months, there has been a great deal of behind the scenes work. This places RemedyUK in a good position to move into our next phase of development (more news on that later in the week).

In the afternoon Clive Peedell presented on the deprofessionalisation and privatisation of the NHS, as our invited speaker (more of this talk in soon to be released podcasts).

Members then had the opportunity to develop RemedyUK policy and direction for the next year. We will be posting summaries of these sessions in the next few days.

We are also delighted to welcome three new members to the RemedyUK Team. Ben Dean, Stephen O'Hanlon and Allan Ponniah won an election for the three available seats.

We have a lot of exciting news in the next few weeks. We will post more detailed summaries of the AGM (and podcasts) as soon as we have then ready.

In the meantime, please drop us an email or call the office (0845 643 1821) if you have any questions.
