We all know of exceptional candidates who have not been offered jobs in Round 1. With today, Friday 8th June, being the last day of job notifications, the pressure on junior doctors and their families is immense.
RemedyUK have attended meetings with the Department of Health and John Tooke this week. We expressed your views and especially described the intollerable situation in which doctors have been placed. More information On Wednesday 6th June, we asked the Department of Health to release information about the next stage of interviews. The lack of information regarding what happens to doctors without a job offer is not clear. This is a terrible week for the profession. Doctors must be informed about the next stage of application and selection. We have contacted the Department by phone again today to request that this information be released now. In the meantime, please continue to support you colleagues at this difficult time. For those of you who did not receive job offers, please try to be optimistic. RemedyUK are working hard to represent you and improve this terrible situation. For those with no job offer In order that we can take your cases to the Department of Health, if you have not been offered a job, please take 2 minutes to post below. Please give a breif summary of your situation and, if you wish, list your strongest point on your CV. This will allow us to take this information to the Department, with examples of candidates who have not secured jobs. This is perhaps the worst week for the profession so far. Please support your colleagues and, if you need offers of support, see the RemedyUK support forum The RemedyUK Team |
