The strength of RemedyUK is due to the support of the profession. While we have fought for doctors at the highest levels, we now need to support doctors on the shop floor.

Our Aim

We are now seeking doctors to be RemedyUK Representatives. Our aim is to have a RemedyUK Rep in every hospital in the UK.

What will Reps do?

RemedyUK developed as a voice for doctors. As a RemedyUK Rep you will be an important part of the RemedyUK Team, ensuring that the voice of doctors in your hospital is heard.

On a practical level, important roles will be

Passing information from RemedyUK to the doctors in your hospital
Alerting RemedyUK to problems in your hospital
Helping doctors resolve problems in their hospital
Holding occassional meetings, or using online forums to keep people informed.

We recognise that working in the NHS doesn't leave much free time. Doctors will vary in the amount of time they want to (or are able) to commit to being a RemedyUK Rep. Being a Rep may take as little as an hour or two a week or as much as you wish it to.

How RemedyUK will support you

As a RemedyUK Rep you will be part of the RemedyUK team.

We are developing a package of training to allow you to develop skills in your role as a RemedyUK Rep. The Rep Training is likely to comprise training days accross the country and online resources. You are welcome to attend these if you wish.

You will have access to the Remedy Office Team for advice and support.

You will have access to a RemedyUK email (in the next few weeks) and forums and webspace to allow you communicate with and support doctors in your hospital.

What you could gain

General skills such as leadership, negotiating
Specific knowledge of issues such as rotas, banding, contracts, terms and conditions (all very helpful in your future career)
Being part of a change in medical politics

To nominate yourself as a RemedyUK Rep, please folow these instructions:

1) Find your hospital from this list .
2) Click the "Click here to become a RemedyUK Rep" Link
3) Complete the online form. Write a few words about you, why you want to be a RemedyUK Rep. All of the information on this form will be available to RemedyUK subscribers via the website (with the exception of your telephone number, this is to allow us to contact you)
4) Upload a pciture if you wish
5) Click submit. We will review your form and contact you when we publish it on the site and welcome you to the RemedyUK Team
