Amateur hack, full time quack. Thoroughly pissed off and keen to do something about it.As the first editor of Medical Student Newspaper, I have written for it since its inception and we have extensively covered MMC/MTAS in all its guises, including what RemedyUK has campaigned for. Now as an F2, I maintain a regular column but also represent the doctors' voice in an attempt to raise awareness of what lies ahead for future graduates. I know when I was a student, blissful ignorance still made me think medicine was a wonderful, safe career waiting for me.I will be continuing my student-aimed input, but I would like to help realise RemedyUK's objectives to try to rectify the unbelievable state my colleagues and myself find ourselves in. I would not call it hope per se, but there is some degree of improvement with last year's Tooke report - I would be willing to help as best I can.Disclosure: Former BMA rep for George's for 2 years. No longer a member and utterly disgusted. (Apologies if submitted twice) www.medical-student.co.uk
